February 17, 2025: New tax for cruise passengers visiting the Greek islands.
Effective as of now, the Greek government has implemented a new tax on cruise travellers visiting Greek islands, per port and passenger. Celestyal will collect the applicable local government taxes based on disembarked ports for all guests, upon check out. This will be calculated based on the number of guests going ashore in each Greek port and added to each individual disembarking guest onboard account each day of the cruise. This is not a Celestyal charge, but a mandatory levy by the Greek authorities that we are collecting on their behalf, as required by the relevant legislation.

REMARKS
• Travellers should always cover their shoulders and legs when visiting some religious sites.
• In Europe, hotel rooms are generally smaller than in North America. There are rarely two double beds in a room. Triple rooms usually feature one double bed and one single bed or three single beds or one double bed and one foldaway bed or two single beds and one foldaway bed.
• Some types of sports equipment, including golf bags, etc., are not accepted in the rooms. They have to be kept in a specific area, which is usually locked.
• All hotels provide towels; some do not offer face cloths.
