Day 1 : Toronto
Lima
Depart Toronto for Lima via the United States.
Day 2 : Lima
Early-morning arrival in Lima. You will be transferred to your
hotel.
Day 3 : Lima Arequipa
Morning visit to the National Museum of Archaeology,
Anthropology and History of Peru. Transfer to the airport in the
afternoon for your flight to Arequipa, then transfer to the hotel
for your one-night stay. At leisure. B/L/D
Day 4 : Arequipa
Begin the morning with a guided tour of the charming colonial
town of Arequipa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located at the foot
of El Misti Volcano. Visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, a small
town in the heart of the city reminiscent of Andalusia. Afternoon
at leisure. B/L/D
Day 5 : Arequipa Chivay (Colca Canyon)
Depart for the Colca Canyon, at the heart of the Peruvian
Andes. Cross the Pampa Canahuas and a vicuna (Peruvian camelid)
reserve, then continue to Chivay. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure or
transfer to La Calera thermal baths for swimming in the hot,
sulphurous waters (admission included). B/L/D
Day 6 : Chivay Puno
Begin the morning with a scenic ride along Colca River to the
Cruz del Condor overlook to watch condors soar across the sky.
Return to Chivay, passing the village of Pinchollo, the
Antahuilque lookout point, Choquetico, a pre-Incan cemetery and
the towns of Maca, Achoma and Yanque along the way. Depart for
Puno. B/L/D

Day 7 : Puno
Lake Titicaca Puno
A full-day boat excursion on Lake Titicaca, the worlds
highest navigable lake (3,809 metres above sea level). Visit the
floating islands of Uros and Taquile, whose 1,500 native
inhabitants keep their ancient traditions alive. Lunch at a local
restaurant in Taquile and return to Puno. B/L/D
Day 8 : Puno Cuzco
Depart for Cuzco and stop at several sites along the way,
including the ruins of Sillustani, Raqchi and its famous temple,
and Andahuaylillas and its Sistine Chapel of Latin America.
Overnight at hotel in Cuzco. B/L/D
Day 9 : Cuzco Sacred Valley of the Incas (Pisaq
Urubamba Ollantaytambo)
Tour the local market of Pisaq and the ruins. Afternoon visit to
Ollantaytambo and its fortress. Overnight at hotel. B/L/D
Day 10 : Sacred Valley Machu Picchu Sacred Valley Cuzco
Morning transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station for your
train ride (2nd class) to Aguas Calientes. Take a motor coach, to
Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas and a UNESCO World
Heritage Site composed of temples, palaces and steep stair-like
roads. Return to Cuzco by train via the Sacred Valley in the
afternoon. B/L/D
Day 11 : Cuzco
Morning city tour including the Plaza de Armas, Cuzco
Cathedral and Temple of the Sun. Visit four archaeological sites
near Cuzco: the walled complex of Sacsayhuaman, the Qenqo
Labyrinth, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Afternoon at leisure,
followed by a dinner show at a local restaurant. B/L/D
Day 12 : Cuzco Lima Toronto
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Visit the
historic centre and its modern neighbourhoods following your
arrival. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. At night, enjoy
a farewell dinner at a restaurant overlooking the ocean. Transfer
to the airport for your return flight to Toronto via the United
States. B/L
