Day 1 : Toronto -
Casablanca
Depart Toronto for Casablanca via Paris.
Day 2 : Casablanca
Upon arrival you will be greeted by our local representative
and transferred to your hotel. D
Day 3 : Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Fez
This morning we depart for Rabat, the white imperial city and
administrative capital of the kingdom. Sightseeing includes the
Mechouar (ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the
Oudaya Kasbah, the splendid Mohamed V mausoleum and the Hassan
Tower. We will have a chance to stop for photos in front of
Necropolis Chellah and a stroll in the garden. Continue to the
Meknes to visit the Ismalian capital, famous for its 40 km long
walls, with a visit of the Bab Mansour, the royal stables and the
Jewish quarter. In the afternoon, continue to the holy city of
Moulay Idriss and stop at the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis,
after which we depart to Fez. B/D
Day 4 : Fez
Our entire day will be devoted to visiting Fez, the spiritual
capital of Morocco and certainly the most beautiful of the
imperial cities. Discover the Medina or “Fez el-Bali” and its
historical monuments: visit Medersa, the Nejarine fountain and
external walls of the Karaouine Mosque, the first university in
the world. In the morning, visit an Islamic school and see a
traditional community bread oven. Stop on the esplanade of the
royal palace in the afternoon to photograph the golden door and
discover the Merinids Tombs which also offer panoramic views over
the city. B/D
Day 5 : Fez - Midelt - Erfoud
Depart for Erfoud in the morning via Midelt through the Atlas
mountains and past Ifrane, a charming ski resort surrounded by
cedar forests, as well as Azrou, an important handicraft centre.
We will drive to Erfoud in the afternoon via Errachidia and the
Ziz Valley dotted with palm trees, the source for the yearly date
festival in Erfoud. Optional overnight at a traditional Bedouin
encampment in the heart of the red sand dunes of Merzouga, where
the sunset is out of this world (must be booked and paid for prior
to departure, minimum 2 participants required. $134 CAD per

Day 6 : Erfoud - Zagora
There is an early morning optional excursion to the sand dunes
of Merzouga to see the sunrise for those who spent the night at
the hotel (must be booked and paid for prior to departure, minimum
2 participants required. $76 CAD per person). After breakfast
discover the pre-Saharan region of Tafilalet and the vast palm
grove. External visit of the Mausoleum Moulay Ali Sharif, founder
of the Alawite dynasty at Rissani. Continue through the rocky
plateau towards Tazzarine and Nekob. Drive to the Door of the
Desert, Zagora in the afternoon, via Tansikht and the Draa Valley,
past traditional villages and oases. B/D

Day 7 : Zagora -
Ouarzazate
Discover the Tamegroute Oasis and the first pre-Saharan dunes
in the morning, after which we depart to Ouarzazate along the Wadi
Draa (or Draa River), a landscape dotted with palm groves, kasbahs
and ksars. The road will twist through the foothills of the
eastern Anti- Atlas, reaching the black mountain slopes of the
Tizi N’Tinififft. On arrival at Ouarzazate we will visit the Ait
Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for many
international film productions. You will also be invited to a tea
ceremony with a local family. End the day with a visit to the
historical Taourirt Kasbah. B/D
Day 8 : Ouarzazate - Marrakech
This morning we visit the Kasbah of Tifoultout and Tamegroute,
the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco which served
as decor for many films such as “Lawrence of Arabia”. We then
depart for the Red City of Marrakech via the Tichka Pass through
an impressive landscape in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. B/D
Day 9 : Marrakech
The morning is devoted to visiting the major sights of
Marrakech: the Menara gardens, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs and
Koutoubia Mosque. Visit the famous Djemaa El Fna square with its
surrounding souks and handicraft centres in the afternoon. This
evening we will tour the city by horse and carriage while the
Moroccan sunset paints the landscape. B/D
Day 10 : Marrakech
Marrakech is a flourishing art centre. There will be an
optional morning visit to the Majorelles Botanical Gardens with an
opportunity to see native flora and fauna set amongst an artist’s
landscape (must be booked and paid for prior to departure, minimum
2 participants required. $18 CAD per person). There will also be
an optional excursion to the Photo Museum of Marrakech (must be
booked and paid for locally, approx. 50 dirhams per person). The
afternoon is at leisure to explore, shop for local handicrafts or
simply relax and soak up the sights and sounds. There is also an
optional highlight dinner and show at night. B/D
Day 11 : Marrakech - Casablanca
Depart for Casablanca where upon arrival, we will visit the
highlights including the central market, Habous District, Royal
Palace, Mohamed V Square, residential area of Anfa and external
walls of the Hassan II Mosque (optional internal visit of the
mosque must be paid locally, approx. 130 dirhams per person). B/D
Day 12 : Casablanca - Toronto
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Toronto via
Paris. B
