DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1 : Toronto –
Cairo
Depart Toronto for Cairo via Paris.
Day 2 : Cairo
Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by a local
representative and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 : Cairo
The morning begins with a tour of the Egyptian Museum, home to
120,000 ancient Egyptian antiquities including the treasure room
of Tutankhamen’s tomb. Visit the Giza Plateau, including the
wondrous Pyramid of Khufu, the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the
Ancient World, and the mighty Sphinx. Continue to Old Cairo to the
Moallaka Church (Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Enjoy
time at leisure for afternoon shopping in the popular souk of Khan
el-Khalili. B/L/D
Day 4 : Cairo – Aswan
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival
visit Aswan’s surroundings, including an overview of Aswan’s High
Dam and the unfinished obelisk at the ancient granite quarries.
Continue to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis,
wife of Osiris and mother of Horus. The entire temple was almost
lost under water during construction of the High Dam. In a major
engineering feat the temple was moved to a new location and
reconstructed to match the original, hence preserving one of
Egypt’s most impressive temples. Embark on a felucca, a
traditional Egyptian sailboat, and enjoy the view of Kitchener
Island’s botanical gardens. In the late afternoon, embark on your
cruise vessel for a 3-night cruise. B/L/D
Day 5 : Aswan – Edfu – Esna – Luxor
The cruise vessel will dock in the morning for a visit to the
Temple of Kom Ombo, whose unique double design houses, courts,
halls, sanctuaries and rooms were duplicated for the crocodile god
Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris. Depart for Edfu where we will
take a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to
the god Horus and one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Pass
the Esna Lock en route to Luxor in the afternoon. Enjoy a
traditional dinner and attend a galabia -themed party at night.

Day 6 : Luxor
Discover the west bank of the Nile and City of the Dead. Visit
the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Medinet Habu and Valley of the
Nobles, and admire the Colossi of Memnon on the boat ride back. In
the afternoon, explore the east bank of the Nile and City of the
Living. Tour the Temples of Luxor and Karnak, formerly connected
by a sphinxlined approach. B/L/D
Day 7 : Luxor – Hurghada
Disembark the cruise vessel and transfer to your hotel in
Hurghada for a 3-night stay by the sea. B/D
Days 8 & 9 : Hurghada
Hurghada is a beautiful seaside resort and one of the top
diving sites in the world. Why not try snorkelling or scuba diving
during your two-day stay? Explore the city’s historical sites and
shop at the bazaar. Satisfy your palate and feast on seafood in a
traditional or European-style restaurants or simply relax on the
beach. B/D
Day 10 : Hurghada – Cairo
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon
arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for time at
leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. B/D
Day 11 : Cairo – Toronto
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Toronto via
Paris. B
